Can anyone tell me difference between google sitemap and yahoo sitemap?

Hello Friends,

I am very much confuse about Google Sitemap and yahoo sitemap. ?I also want to know what is the best way to submit the sitemap into MSN webmaster.I tried to add all the sitemap you can check google sitemap at http://www.commediait.com/sitemap.xml

Please help me looking forward for your better suggestion.

 

Standard XML sitemaps like you linked there works on all major search engines. No differences

 

1-> Go to MSN, Google webmaster tool and you will find a link to download a code for verification
2-> Upload the code into the public html root folder by login to FTP or cPanel
3-> one click you're verified, now simply put the XML file that you have done with to your site/blog(there are easy plugin, if you havent done yet like xml sitemap)
4-> submit the approriate url of the sitemap to webmaster tools where you want to submit and you're done with the submission.
Sorry, I don't submit it to Yahoo, i hate their API codes system. But above is how you can done.

* Google uses Xml format for all url where Yahoo uses Txt format for all urls.
* Xml is the format for submitting sitemaps to Google. Txt is the format for submitting urllist/sitemap to Yahoo.

 

R u sure that yahoo read only txt file for indexing our site mapin our data base?

 

Yes,I am not sure but i think yahoo read only urllist.txt file for site map.

 

Google sitemap is better than yahoo because world wide mostly people like to open search engine Google and google visitors 66% all world so every one go to google and search own required website so i think google sitemap is better than yahoo and bing

I just uploaded a sitemap in the usual xml format to yahoo and there doesn't seem to be any problems with it.

 

google sitemaps is much much better than others. trust me on that ;-)

 

There is NO DIFFERENCE between standard "Google sitemap", "Yahoo sitemap" and "XML sitemap". They are all the exact same format... Read this sitemaps article if unsure.
