216.239.59.103 216.239.59.104 216.239.59.105 The above data centers give me wildly different results than any of the others for many of my keywords. I am just wondering if anyone knows ehough about the various datacenters to tell me if these are ones whose results are likely to roll out across the board or if they are just random ones?
Tiptopvillas, Don't worry about those datacenters. The only datacenter you should be concerned with is : 64.233.179.104 This is the Big Daddy datacenter that is being rolled out to all Google servers, I think Matt Cutts said one week at a time. The results you see here are what will eventually be on all Google data centers.
I wish I knew what google were doing, my site first started to get listed on google last friday and today it has disappeared completely as of around 12:00pm. I can't understand it.
Thanks for that, my site is available on there! Doesn't really explain why it's not being found on other datacenters though.
Google is updating thier datacenters, which is why you see different results all the time. This will be happening for a while
tiptopvillas, The three Google IP addresses you mention should give you the same results as these are all pre-big daddy. From my investigations the Big Daddy update has filtered around 50% of the 20 Google datacenters. Having said that I estimate that the 50% of Google datacenters that are using the Big Daddy infrastructure are low-visitor datacenters. As bermudaviper metioned a new datacenter comes online about every 6 days. So the next 6 weeks should be interesting as the datacenters yet to be converted are high-traffic datacenters (my reconning).
It will be interesting to follow. I have noticed variations in my sites and in some instances the sites have dropped very low and others very high. I personally hope the very high ones will be staying
That is not good news for me at all. My index pages have gone down sharply in the Big Daddy.. I am not sure way. But I am fine on the other data centers. Can anybody shed some light on why would the index pages go down? thanks
thanks all, these are pretty much the answers i was expecting... no big jumps in rankings for me then!
Sorry, is big daddy 64.233.179.104 or 66.249.93.104 In my pr list 64.233.179.104 is little daddy and 66.249.93.104 is big daddy. FFMG
Yup it was taken down for testing so if you search in 64.233.179.104 it will be just a regular search. BigDaddy is up at 66.249.93.104 according to Matt Cutts Blog http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/2006/01/page/4/
does anyone have any explaination on why big daddy only index my current up to date index page and is showing the rest of the inner pages that are from 6-7 months ago which doesn't exist anymore on my server?.
