You need to approach this a bid differently if you'd like some constructive suggestions. Tell us what functionality you are looking to support and if you have specific content types that need to be on your homepage. Ex: We'll be supporting a forum, newsletter sign up, and RSS feed. We need the homepage to support advert banners, along with a main menu with a lot of items and possibly sub-menu. The homepage should also support our own header banner and logo. We'll probably have only two paragraphs on the homepage, but they need to be clear and centrally located. We'll need a button that draws attention to our latest deals, and of course posting of the latest forum entries. If this is something you're looking for, then I can suggest "primepress" because it's clean and flexible.
You're looking to use a Wordpress theme for a WEB DESIGN firm? Or you're looking for inspiration to design it yourself? Confused as to why a web design firm would need to use a template. :S

Ah. My brain seems to read the two words as one lol. But it still raises the question why a web development firm can't find themselves a nice wordpress theme. --- Nobody here is going to do the searching for you, google about. >_>

After reading the title of topic I had the same question. If you are a web development firm then using someones theme wouldn't be a plus for you.
If you don't have the skills to build one then why are you in this business? If you are going to outsource everything then start with this. Funny thing is I seen guys like this do well in web design. It is more about marketing then skill really. If you can figure out how to get the customers then you can find people to do the design often for cheap enough so you can still make good money. ###
