Now I don't need that stupid Windows Movie maker shit, it takes up way too much of CPU resources and craps everything else up. So what I need is, a freeware (or cheap) video editor program through which I could edit my videos to put them on Youtube (you know like adding text etc., cutting the video in between, editing etc.) So can anyone suggest anything? Thanks IT
Errrm.... not exactly free or cheap. There's really nothing wrong with WMM for making youtube videos. If you think WMM stresses your CPU, then Premiere will make you soil yourself I regularly use Premiere and After Effects for 'work', but if I want to put up a quick'n'dirty youtube video, more often than not I'll just use WMM. Have you tried VirtualDub?
Dont think you will find a good free one. I use Song Vegas, it costs a lot but you can find plenty of cracks for it. Not that im suggesting you do something illegal or anything lol
I've suggested VirtualDub as a basic open source alternative to Windows Movie Maker. The next person that suggests AE, Premiere, or Vegas, as a 'freeware (or cheap)' alternative to WMM gets a slap. C'mon guys... focus.
I don't know about editing but for conversion between various formats I can only recommend: VirtualDub VirtualDub-MPEG2 - loads MPEG2 files. SUPER - based on FFMPEG and mEncoder - http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html RAD Video Tools - good for weird video formats - http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm And a good convertor to FLV I've found to be Sothink Video Encoder for Adobe Flash, but it's not free, though I think it's cheap. I would use Premiere for editing, but I agree it's not cheap. VirtualDub allows you to put subtitles over video, logos and so on.
