Can anyone suggest an ad-network which actually works for CPM

Hi there,
I have a college humor style site which gets about 3k uniques per day and I want a network who will actually work/payout for placing a banner (graphic or text) on my site.


So far:


Adsense: spotted a couple of swear words on my site and said no.


Adbrite: took ages to accept me so I bitched at their support email and they refused me (my bad)


Clicksor: Trailing them now but their ads take forever to load and from the reviews I've been reading, they have a 'trial' thing where they will show ads on your site for 2 months then say 'sorry no' and not pay you.


Exoclick: I pasted their code into my page for a popunder and all it did was put javascript errors on my page (I've been writing javascript since 98 I'm certain it's their code.. in case anyone suggests otherwise


Chitika: I am running them as a banner with text ads but they are NOT CPM as I understand it. Their support team confirmed.. worth noting: Chitika are streets ahead in terms of support and service to the others I've tried.


I just want a banner which pays for pete's sake.. surely this cant be too hard...

Who? Some impatient people who can't wait 30 days to get paid? There's a few people with payment proof in the cpmfun thread, don't be put off by the whiners.

CPMFun is okay... don't believe the lies though. They are $0.10 cpm and many people have popups from them

Lijit.com is really good if you can get accepted. They don't fill all ads but their rates make up for it.

MadAdsMedia.com is great. I think there might be some traffic requirements now but I'm not sure

ZenoviaExchange.com is pretty good too.

Adstract is decent for video ads or overlays if you have videos on your site.

Adflymedia.com is okay too. $10 payout but I found their CPM slightly lower (about 0.08)

Adigniter.org was okay too. It's net-60 though. They claim high cpm rates but I don't think they were counting all impressions

The other recommendations in this thread are suspect... everyone will tell you how wonderful a site is when they are offering an affiliate link.

I'm not affiliated in any way with these sites. I have just tried dozens of ad agencies over the last few months. Most others have crap rates or popups.

 

$0.10 eCPM from CPMFun? Not their fault your site gets rubbish traffic.

 

Not my fault you can't do math and trust their faulty calculation.

 

You can try the one in my sig. They actually pay 1.15$ for every 1000 unique from US. There is a payment proof in my sig, no popups\ redirection, they're awesome.

 

then it's not an eCPM!

Lets say you get 25000 impressions with 10000 unique impressions.

CPM Fun will pay you $2.50... Then they report their eCPM as $0.25 because they calculate it from 2.50/10000.

If you went through another company. They might pay $3.00 for the same impressions but they report their eCPM as $0.12 because they use the correct formula 3.00 / 25000

If you have a site that keeps each visitor for 10 pageviews and each page has 3 ads and the site gets 500 visitors then CPM Fun pays you like this:

5000 page views (10*500) * 3 ads = 15000 ad views * 0.10 eCPM = $1.50

Then they turn around and divide $1.5 / 500 visitors and come up with $3.00 eCPM... which is just plain misleading

Other companies take your 15000 ad views and multiply it by their rate (lets say 0.12 eCPM) and come out with $1.80 earnings

CPMFun even says on it's webpage that they pay for every impression... The thing they don't let you know is it is $0.10 for every 1000 impressions and then they use creative math to make you think it's more

I tested this theory too. If you only show one ad per person per day, your eCPM drops down to 0.10. If you show more ads, you don't make more per impression, you just make more per unique impression.

 

I figured out how it works ages ago, but who cares what the eCPM is at the end of the day? The earnings are amazing.

 

I have found Smowtion, PulsePoint(aka AdsDaq) and Fidelity Media to be OK.

 

Ad networks like Adsense can pay you CPM but only when you have website in profitable niche or when someone directly buy advertise to show it on yours website. It's not so hard to get this when you have good content and trustful website.

 

PulsePoint is great. Adsense is pretty strict with entrance.

The best CPM rates you will find on CPMfun. They are counting every impression, doesn't matter what country from do you have your visits - they are paying for every country, for all international traffic. They are paying on NET30 terms, but you have also an option to got your payment earlier: within 7 days, 3 days or even instant - with the correspondent fees, of course, but this option is good for those who don't want to wait the 30 days payout waiting time.
