I know PPC can be profitable. Hope anyone here can share successful experience in PPC optimization in increasing conversion.
Maybe it's obvious, but assign ads that fit to your website audience. Place not more than 3-5 ads on page (depending on layout). To give you more tips it would be good to know a bit more about your website.
post your ad in text, not in widgets and sidebars. there you can put other stuff: facebook form, newsletter sign-up widget use rich content ads: text and images make sure you post the ad in text where it can be visible (footer ads are a waste of time) Example: Use text links ads near menu Image ads near images or photo galleries Text ads on videos(like youtube ads) i hope it helps
Infolinks is good for in-line text ads from what i know but if you don't have almighty google adsense i think their display ads are good too
first of all: - laser target keywords (try start with few ones and if it works you can scale it) - good converting PPC network (from my experience Bing is the best) - very good landing page (converting headlines - some ideas you can find here: http://www.copyblogger.com/10-sure-fire-headline-formulas-that-work/) - auto responder with free stuff (I use aweber but you can try free mailpoet)
