Can anyone register a .us?

    to register a .us domain, must you be a resident of the us? It is easy to build a website with the us as intended audience, but then must the owner of the site also be an american?
    If it is, do they actually verify the information you give them (ie is it necessarily to provide a social security nr or similar)?

    Yes, I think anybody can register it, you dont need to be a resident of the US to own a .us domain. I have 2 domains .us !!
    Do it from Godaddy, that is where I did it.
