Can anyone recommend...

Sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum for this post, I realise that how your websites are hosted and such affects your SERP's, hence placed it here. Anyways:

Can anyone recommend me decent company to host my websites with please? I'd like a reseller package, but there are so many companies to choose from, can someone point me in the right direction?

Also one of the companies I looked at offered an option for 'Dedicated IP' (at an additional price); I figured hosting always implies a dedicated IP anyway  but do you think it's worth adding an option like this to a hosting package for SERP's purposes?

    Thanks,

    Fredi

It depends on type of your site and the traffic level that you are getting on, if it is very higher side. you can consider to get a dedicated server, form seo point of view I don't think there is much difference either you are in shared or dedicated.

Dreamhost offers some incredibly cheap hosting (with unlimited domains) It's generally pretty reliable these days (they've had some problems in the past) I currently host 8 sites with them - and have been very happy.

If you search around - you should be able to find a -$97 coupon on the net that will make it less than $20 for the year.

Have a look at Streamline.net or Heart Internet, both offer very good reseller packages.

I have a multiple domain plan at OurInternet.us for $9.95 a month. They have $3.95 plans for single domains. Fast response on support questions.
There are also a lot of good web host recommendations at the WebHostingTalk.com forum.

Lots of people have opinions on this and opinions will differ but essentially theres no discernable SEO benefit to dedicated i.p.'s in and of itself.

The primary reason you might see some people mentioning dedicated i.p.'s in a SEO context is when you are cross-linking your sites, you will get less "juice" from your link if they are hosted on the same i.p.

So in other words, if you have 2 sites on 111.111.111.111 and cross link them, Google will not give as much link love from 1 site to the other, then if you linked from 1 site using 111.111.111.111 to 222.222.222.222

    Hope that helps.
