Can anyone recommend a good alternative cart system

I am Zen Cart user, it's easy to install, it's powerful, it's free while other cart needs $ for the same level of capability. However the downside is hard to uninstall whatever mod you installed or upgrade newer version. So when you have got to the point where you spent a lot of time on the cart and suddenly a new version is out, you will cry and rather just stay as current version.

Can anyone recommend a good alternative cart system

    Has to be:

    1. Free
    2. Easy to upgrade/install mods and templates , the way like wordpress
    3. can create module (a.k.a side box) easily just like Joomla
    4. has everything that a shopping cart should have
    Thanks.

Hi, Try with Zeuscart which is the best free shopping cart software to create your store.

Magento, Open Cart, Prestashop if you want to do things correctly. All 3 are better than zencart.

I personally use TomatoCart and couldn't be happier with it.

The development of the cart has kind of come to a half, but it's still a great cart.

I personally like CS-Cart. They have a free version either.

Obviously, ZEUSCART would be better for free cart version script.

I prefer Prestashop simple to use and easy to customize.

Two solutions that I can recommend (based on experience) are VirtueMart + Joomla or osCommerce. Both are very reliable.
