Hi guys, I have been trying to find a good host for the past few days and I was wondering what host you guys use and please give me a review of it. I have tried hostgator, spoonohost, and godaddy. They were good but sometimes their customer support is not the greatest.
I use Lunarpages and don't have any complaints. I don't know how their prices compare to the rest, because I've been with them a long time and I think moving to someone else would be a hassle. I haven't used their customer support, because they have a bunch of video tutorials that helped me figure out any problems I was having.
Hey, I use a dedicated windows server from GoDaddy, and have never had a problem. I agree that you have to wait for about 10 minutes on hold before getting through to there customer service, but they have been reliable. I highly reccommend GoDaddy for hosting. Remember to look through TOS (Terms of Service) for what you intend to do with the hosting package you choose. Let me know which one you choose...
Im looking to host a forum, a text based game mmorpg, and a youtube clone site. Do you think godaddy is a good host for those subjects? If it is i guess I'll go with godaddy again. Though I have been hearing horrible reviews about their customer support and also their email services. Please tell me a good host that will support these websites well. Thanks.
Hey, you should not have a problem running the sites you require with GoDaddy... however the only way to see if there customer support and email services is reliable is by calling them and see how long you wait. Let yourself be the real expert to judge there company. Hope you choose the right service... Regards The Mirza Company
I think bluehost.com is pretty good too, have a look at their plans, starts from $6.95 if I am not wrong.
I dunno if you've gone ahead with GoDaddy but I'd like to add Dreamhost. I've only been with them for a few weeks but I'm really happy, I've had no problems and when I did contact them I had a swift reply. If you search for a voucher code you can get $97 off the hosting fees which brings the total price down considerably. Hope that helps you.
I agree with Meph for using bluehost.com if you plan to get a standard hosting package as a few of my clients use them and they have good customer support via phone but if you want a dedicated server go with a company which offer 24 hour support like GoDaddy.
