    Can you help me?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I came across a few of your posts and you guys seem to be well informed about SEO. Im new to this forum and I have a site www.safetyairbags.com, I am having the hardest time ranking with google and yahoo. What is really important to me is the search term air bag and airbags. These are the keywords that get the most impressions in my industry. Can you tell me what Im doing wrong? I have a ton of airbags but Im not selling them , I need more traffic. I noticed on statcounter.com that alot of customers make it to my contact page but dont send me there info. That is odd. If you guys can offer me an honest opinion about my site I would appreciate it. I am a novice web designer but I have been selling airbags for several years. Is this site optimized or quite the opposite. Any help would be appreciated.

Pardon me for jumping in but I took a loot at your site and even though it looks good it has a few problems, seo wise.

    1. clean up the code a bit
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.safetyairbags.com/

    2. on the link to home it should be to the domain name not /index.php

    3. get rid of the javascript drop down search thing.

    4. on the links into the other pages, put in some content they all have the same content. You are using to much boiler plate text. ie the "If we do not stock your deployment system..... " and "Replace your deployed air bags without paying expensive Dealership costs......"

    5. being that this domain is 880 days old and you have about 20 links I would recommend that you start a link building campaign, directories, articles etc.. here is a good start.

    6. have your developer drop a 301 redirect into your htaccess file pointing safetyairbags.com to www.safetyairbags.com

These are the basic tips I pass on to all of my clients when starting any website

How old is your site? You must update your content frequently to grab more traffic and keep optimizing your site until it reaches the top SERPs.

your site was really slow to load for me....not sure if that is your fault or the current comp/connection that I am using...but imo I would clean up the front page a little....there are ways to make it SE friendly without looking so cluttered...I would also expand your keyword meta tag to include singular and plurals (i.e. airbag and airbags, air bag and air bags, etc.) That might help you out some.
