I'm running adwords campaign which is related to outsourcing. Currently my daily budget is just $30 to $50. Everyday I'm getting just only one click for my keyword even though I bid a keyword to above $7. my keywords are application development outsourcing, application development outsourcing company, software development company, website development services etc. My quality score is about 6 to 7. I set position preference to 1 -5. I'm getting impressions. I could not get a conversions. Can anyone help me out. Thanks in advance.

If you are getting impressions with no clicks and have good positions of 1-5, then it sounds like your ads could need adjusting. Try using a few ad variations and possibly use the keyword insertion tool in your headline. The keyword insertion is a small bit of coding which will be replaced by the word that the searcher inputted into Google. If that word does not fit within the 25 characters then the default will be used instead (which is default in the example below).

    {KeyWord:default}

Some of your keywords may also be too long. Try some more general, shorter keywords to primarily get the clicks and then later review the stats to see what needs taking away or adding. If you need more additional advice then just ask here or PM me.

I'm already using dynamic keyword insertion and also I'm using 3 to 5 word keywords. Then which part I should concentrate more

Use more general keywords like "outsourcing" and "outsourcing company"

I've never known anyone not be able to reach their daily spend

When I used adwords my money was gone before I knew it, adwords is great but I guess you have to be advertising something that people want to click on - or at least make it appealing to them to click your ad.

    Good Luck

If your QS * Max Bid isn't enough to get you into the top 5 then more often than not, Google will simply not display your ad at all.

This could be one reason why you aren't reaching your budget limit.

Only use position preference when you have enough data to back the decision up. Without enough a data, you won't know which is your best position.

If you don't have the data - remove the position preference and see what difference it makes.

Your budget is campaign based. If you daily budget is $30, create three campaigns with $10 budget. Within each campaign create several adgroups. Each adgroup needs a tight keyword theme. I'm not familiar with your product but let me use an example.

    CAMPAIGN 1 - $10.00 - Settings for Search Only

adrgroup 1 - geared towards a specific keyword theme -- add keywords that relates to the same theme. It is better to have several adgroups with each having a specific keyword theme than one adgroup with all keywords thrown in it.

Within adgroup 1 have several ads....minimum of two, but you can create as many as you want.

adgroup 2 - geared towards another keyword theme. Within adgroup 2 have several ads.

    adgroup 3, etc.

CAMPAIGN 2 - $10 budget - Settings for Search only.

See campaign 1 above for structure....the only difference is that I would make campaign 1 for two word keyword phrases and campaign 2 for three word keyword phrases.

CAMPAIGN 3 - $10 budget - Setting for content network....if you want you can use placement for your content network.

Note: one thing about having tightly themed keyword adgroups is that your quality score is going to improve. I have several ads within an adgroup with the keyword in the headline and my scores are 8, 9 and 10.

You should look at your click through rate and impressions. How many impressions are you getting a day. If it's over 1,000 look at your ads, if it's under 500 add more keywords. I've found that the Adwords Keyword tool will help a lot in finding keywords and their approximate monthly searches.

    Options:
Position Preference - as said above, remove this. This will not bid you into these positions but only show you when you are in those positions. It is much better to bid and see how your average position is, you can then adjust up or down depending on your needs
Keyword Expansion - definitely think about expanding your keyword lists. This doesn't have to be with broad single or 2 word key phrases, I'm sure there are quite a few more targeted phrases you could add.
Problems with low CTR - if you're saying you get only 1/2 clicks with 500 impressions then you need to address this problem. Make your ads as relevant to the keywords as possible, include keywords in your title, copy & URL. Get a call to action in there - can you offer anything for free (white paper, special offers etc)? Consider expanding out your advert groups into targeted keyword lists (these can be just a few keywords per Ad Group or a few hundred if they are relevant to the advert).

    Few thoughts for you there...
