Hi there I would like to create a blog that I can attempt to make some adsense revenue from. The problem is I do not even really know what a blog is. I have a domain ready. I know about SEO as far as link building (I am not sure what stumble, digg and social bookmarking are) If somoen would be kind enough to offer some advice to get me started I would be very grateful An example of a blog site that is making some money would be great to see. Check out: www.wordpress.org (you may start your own free blog there, or grap a free blogging platform and set up in your own server) Then head towards www.problogger.net - it'll tell you everything about blogging.

I have just launched a new blog that will be discussing how people can build popular blogs as well as how they can make lots of money blogging. If you want any more tips send me a PM or subscribe to the blog. After you install Wordpress you need to make it look nice. You can't go wrong with this theme.
And another tip: be sure to check out some plugins (mentioned by problogger). Spamkarma for example is a nice spam catcher (if you don't want to use the other system that comes with the installation files). I would strongly recommend putting "customized post paths" in action right away. They default to something like "yourblog.com?p=54", when a better option would be "yourblog.com/54/my-cool-post/" (or something which contains date in the blog post url. Just check problogger blog to see his blog post structure). You may edit this in the wordpress admin options panel.
Maybe try blogger.com to start? just to get the feel of blogging? Wordpress is definately worth it though. Have fun blogging!
