You should probably read some seo tutorials or guides first. You need to understand the basics before choosing keywords. You don't just choose one keyword to optimize a website for. You should be choosing a whole set of keywords to optimize your entire website for. By the sounds of it, your forum probably won't be very good for seo. To rank well, it helps for a website to be focused around one particular niche. Your forum covers countless topics and doesn't really have one niche.
