I want to set up a directory, but it is difficult to set up catagories and sub catagories, is there any ready to use table that I can import to my SQL

    I am using PHPLD 3.0 and 2.0

    Thanks a lot

I believe there are various paid mySQL dumps for phpLD and there could well be a few free versions knocking around...

    Try a google search...

Personally though, if you want to develop a good directory you should build it gradually from the ground up.

Add your main top level categories and then once you start getting submissions you'll see where you need to provide subcategories to be more specific.

This way your directory will grow gradually which is always a good thing (especially in the eyes of search engines). If you show everything you've got from day 1 theres no much room for improvement and development.

Be the tortoise not the hare!

I long for the day that these "Hey, how can I set up my directory on the cheap with little or no effort and still make a killing?" posts are a thing of the past. (Yeah, I know that wasn't exactly the way the question was worded, but they are one and the same.)

The highly successful directories all have one thing in common - a lot of hard work.

i can't express myself very well, but i hope you can understand what i say:

if you want to build your special directory, you shouldn"t use other DB,set up your special catagories!
