Can anyone help a newbie? I need to find customers..

    Hi there,

Hopefully some kindly soul here can help me.

I am an Internet Programmer, and back in August I setup my own company to provide Web Services. I have managed to build up a couple of local contacts, and have a fairly steady stream of work through these companies, which is what is keeping me going.

However, I believe I have a good product, that many companies (small to large) can benefit from, and need to get myself "out there" more, tendering for contracts etc.

This is where I need the help. Where can I find lists of businesses who are inviting companies to tender for projects? I am UK based, but this shouldn't really matter. What I could do with is getting in involved with a business network that pushes work each other's way. Does anyone belong to a good one of these?

I can assure you that I am working very hard to get this business properly off the ground, but I suspect I'm just not working as wisely as I could. Hopefully someone out there has some experience of this that they wouldn't mind imparting to a very appreciative listener :)

    Thank you for reading

    Best regards

Well, for starters I think you should update your website to tell exactly what kind of stuff you can do. You have "content management" there... but I don't see you telling fast how much your systems cost, and what benefits they offer.

If you like to get customers, then perhaps some LinkedIn connections could be used for that?

Also remember that your old customers might need some additional work.

You could also mention if you do custom programming (and what languages), and what your rates are.

Thanks! I will add that my pricing is variable, but can give a basic idea. I have a section on the benefits of the system. But I will flesh the site out a little. Thanks again
