    Hey Folks,

I was just wondering can anyone give me some advice about a laptop?

I don't want any fancy smancy shit on it..Just a normal laptop that I can go online on and do work on etc.

I have NO idea about laptops, and which makes are good/bad etc. Or how much memory it should have on it, etc.

Also...My brother has one and it is shit...If I go on it - it overheats really quickly. So I want one that never overheats? Ha ha I know I ain't making any sense.

Does anyone recommend any laptops? Help.

    Spank you.

Hi, what's yout budget? Dell's always my first choice. They have high cost performence. Check Dell Vostro 1720, 3GB RAM, 320GB, that's enough for you.

The main question is how much screen space you need to do your work effectively. Another consideration is how sharp your vision is. See if you can go to higher resolution on smaller screen. My personal preference is 15" with 1366x768.

Keyboard quality and keys arrangement varies greatly between brand and models. I suggest to go in the store, try them yourself and decide which one you like best. For example, one of my laptops Acer Extensa 4420 has a great keyboard and I hate Ctrl key placement on Lenovo notebooks.

I am on a macbook right now and I love it. I purchased mine during a sale and got 15% off the laptop, a free itouch, a free printer, and 20% off all of the programs I purchased with it. I am really glad that I chose the macbook, and I recommend it to all.

Do not go with cheap laptops - go with branded laptop -. There is a price for your quality needs.

Laptops come in different shapes and sizes. They come from many well known brands like HP, Dell, Acer, Apple, etc. Before buying any laptop, check for a review online, search for videos on Youtube and also look for product deals.

If your budget is low and need something for basic computing tasks, you should buy netbook. There's ASUS EEE PC, HP Mini, Sony VAIO, etc. They are lightweight, cheaper and more portable.

I would get an HP or a Dell of any variety as they are really the best quality out there.

You should pick the branded laptops. If you really want to have a laptop which has greater performance, you should consider its specs as well. In addition, in case you don’t know about this, system compatibility is very significant. So if you are planning to install a lot of programs and other software applications, then you should pick the laptop which has a higher hardware processing device and storage memory device.

Try to seek advice from computer technicians also.
