Can Anyone Give Me A Suggestion Here?

I recently had a member begin a conversation with me asking for advice on this. I told him to check his recent activity and *maybe* he could find the post. (there simply has to be an easier way)

What I'm referring to is trying to find out which post you were awarded a "Best Answer" to. We can easily check to see where we have received likes. I just got another Best Answer and I have absolutely no idea whatever where I got it from, or even who gave it to me.
These things are *VERY* hard to get and are gratifying when we get them. Anybody have any idea how I can find the answer here?

Probably you need to check for the recently made posts by you. If yours is the best answer, then you can see a "Best answer" tag on your badge near the post. "best answer" tag is similar to the "Premium member" tag.

Yes we are *already* doing this, but that is the hard way. Surely king, there is an easier way no?;) Also what if you received a *Best Answer* for a post that you made a month ago, do you go through all of them?

I am not sure! But even the hardest thing is easier for this "King" ;)

I now have 5 of the things and only know where I've gotten 2 of them. And that is only because I came apon them by accident as I was scrolling on that particular thread. Because I've been PM'd by 2 other members on this subject, I know that others also can't find out where they got "Best Answers".
No big deal, I guess we will *never* know how or why we got them haaaa!:(

I think the moderators / Shawn should have an answer for this ;) Even the alert preferences (https://forums.digitalpoint.com/account/alert-preferences) which has everything listed (posts, likes, trophies, profile page activities) does not have an option for "best answer". Probably they never wanted to alert us for "best answers". But we would be even more interested to know our post which was awarded when we are not alerted ;)

    @kingofking
On another thread Shawn told me that there "Is no way, sorry". This tells me that the answer has to come from an inventive member. (eventually)
I believe you are right king there is no way, and for whatever reason we are not alerted. So.....guess I have my answer.;)

Well, if they are all as worthless as the "best answer" in this thread then you are not missing much, eh?

Worthless to you Mr.Troll, but not to me. Nice try trying to provoke a reaction (your specialty) oh wait....that would be reporting people and criticizing.;)

Or just you giving likes and best answers out when nobody was able to offer a solution to your question or problem. You can stroke each other all you want, but don't think other people can't point it out for exactly what it is.

@browntroll, I am aware of how flamebait works. I remember well how you tried to provoke @Senobia following her around and criticizing all her posts on different forums, and only when she threatened to report you did you back off.
    Back off now!

I read posts and I comment as I see fit. She sent me some PM a while back that showed a new level of crazy, so I told her precisely that and then I just put her on ignore. You and her can report whatever the heck you want. In fact, I encourage you to report any posts of mine that you think warrant it. Your opinion does not make one lick of difference as to where and what I decide to post. If I see something stupid, I will point it out. That is probably why you think I follow you or her. ;)

@browntroll, you wrap yourself in the flag of righteousness. *Pretending* that you have the site's best interests at heart. But the reality is that you are just plain mean. Instead of welcoming newbies you mock them and try to make them feel embarrassed. You go out of your way to start trouble, you are the worst troll on DP as far as I'm concerned.

Flattering, but highly inaccurate, Lil Man.

You...initiated a conversation *with me*, wanting to provide your 'motivation' behind your asinine commentary that always seemed to follow my posts - to which I replied:

But you kept right on talking, sending me PM after PM after PM. Just like the lil boy on the playground that pulls the girls' pigtails because the erections they cause are frustrating to him.

    And you're still talking.

*pats you on the head like a lil puppy jumping all around for attention*

    Feel validated now, Lil Man?

Oh we are different for sure. You coddle every moron who posts on DP, no matter how useless or worthless their posts are, and welcome them all with open arms. I hardly have gone after newbies ... if you have a problem that I called out one who who made a ton of useless threads - too bad - I will do it if I think it might cause them or others to think about the quality of their contribution here. (Something you give a lot of lip service to but, in actuality, help drive it down by failing to honestly call a worthless post - worthless)

Anyway, pretty sure this thread has played itself out. If you want to reply, you get the last word.

I agree, adding best answers to alerts would be nice.

Not sure how hard that would be to do. But I'll never know how or why I received the things. But with the two I do know about I sent out a "Thank you" and they are now followers and one has become a business contact.
Isn't it all about that? (making contacts) So for this reason having a "Best Answer" alert would be convenient.
