Its so annoying that people are still sorting directories by the Google Foolbar rank of the home page.

The authority a directory sends to YOUR site doesn't come from the directory's front page. It comes from the page your article is on. High homepage PR directories often get that way by directing huge numbers of links on their article pages back at the homepage, depleting the value of the links you embed in your articles.

I mean think about it... if you own a directory with a PR7 home page, are you going to point all your homepage links downwards to the article pages and give away all your authority to your FREE authors ..or are you going to sell text links on your home page for thousands of dollars a month.

People should start sorting directories by number / quality of articles, not PR.
