    Hi,

Does anyone here use in there camps. only [exact] keywords ? If so, do you get lots of clicks/ impressions ?

    Thanks

I use it and no I do not get a lot of impressions which I know going in won't happen.

You need to look at the needs of the business before determining which match to use.

However broad match will be detrimental to your wallet.

For example if I sold rose bushes

Yet bid on the keyword term "rose"

then my ads would display for:

    rose colored glass

    rose kennedy

    tea roses

    rose wine

    rose colored dress

    artificial rose

Now as I am selling only rose bushes, and considering all of the matches possible for the word rose ...and the amount of times my ad could be displayed and clicked....and you could soon see bankruptcy happening easily....

    Hope this helps you!

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Does Google ever get ride of non performing keywords ? if what your bidding on isn't searched that often ? ( but isn't that the point of bidding on [exact] keywords ? )

No they usually jack the bid price up to $5.00 or $10.00 to get you off of it, or to improve performance.

Otherwise no they do not intervene and from past experience have taken a clients specific match campaign I set up, and turned it into a broad match campaign under the guise of increased traffic

Needless to say having proved myself right, and Google to be truly evil, while denying it in print, I still have the same client 3 years later :)

    Peace

To fight spam, make things better for the consumer, improve things for the advertiser.. A three fold thing so to speak.

    Hi,

These master affiliate marketers say that bidding on thousands of keywords is key but if Google wants lots of $ just to activate the keywords, how do a lot of people make money via ppc marketing ?

    Thanks
