Hello: A few days ago, we logged in to our Commission Junction account and was shocked to get a notice that it had been deactivated, without any explanation. However, it said it could be re-activated, and we did that. But we're puzzled why CJ will deactivate an affiliate member account just like that, especially since we signed up in some affiliate programs through them and spend time and money promoting them. What are they thinking? Can anyone explain this to us? We're thinking of inquiring from our attorney if they have any rights to do this and if they did what legal action we could pursue for damages. We have not phoned and spoken to them because in the past when we had a login problem and called them, we got many of their staff giving us different contradictory info. It seemed they were disorganized and most of their staff didn't know what they were doing.
Hello, Before spend more time, try to contact them, I'm sure they will help you Always I got a good response from the customer service and they help me... My 2 cents Jakomo
cj sucks for me, i like other programs better and cjs website is not very user friendly...still dont know why they are considered one of the big dogs in this industry. i never liked them from day one. their payouts suck too.
That's why they deactivated your account. You didn't generate any sales. They don't keep inactive accounts forever. They eventually deactivate them.
After 6 months of no sales activity, CJ will deactivate a publisher's account. This keeps the system much more clean, and is a big plus over Linkshare (for advertisers trying to manage affiliate programs).
