As with all social media its best not to try and sell directly on Twitter using tweets or DM's, that approach is so last year and does not work any more. There is nothing more off putting than clicking a link only to be taken direct to a squeeze page, affiliate offer or even a unique product. Much better to offer value by sending your followers to your blog or to an article you have found that is interesting to your niche. When you have an offer include it in a blog post or at least suggest why the person may find your offer of interest. Yes you can join a Twitter Group or create one yourself. Go to the cog icon and select "groups". You cannot tweet or DM the group but you can see their tweets and of course follow them. In summary, its all about building a relationship with your followers and when they trust you they will buy from you
You need followers! as many followers/re-tweets you have you will get traffic. and try to use relevant hash tags in your tweet
Followers + engagement. Have a niche account related to your product with an active and engaging follower base.
To market your product well you need unique followers on your twitter account. You can use twiends to increase your follower
Engage with your followers in conversations. Twitter is long race, not a short sprint. If you simply tweet out links to your products for sale you'll go nowhere quick. Twitter is for sharing knowledge and gaining the trust of your followers over time.
All good points. I'd say you need to try an add something interesting and unique to your tweet, like an good observation or opinion.
Personally, I wouldn't be trying to market your products via Twitter unless you have an already established userbase to which to promote to, via some highly followed Twitter profile. I have a personal account which I post tweets perhaps 2-3 times a day on, not too often. I have under 4,000 followers, yet I get multiple tweets per day with spam links from others. For that reason I never click on any link sent to me in a tweet anymore, unless it's from someone I follow (and I only follow <20 people). As for DMs, well, I have DMs over two years old which I didn't bother to read yet. In essence, there are much more valuable social networks to spend your time marketing on, but really, Twitter isn't one of those.
Not really much point you being on Twitter is there? All social media is about ENGAGEMENT. Oh, and links to blogs are not spam.
There's spam on every social network and social networking is about conversations and engagement. The fact that you only follow 20 people yet have "under 4,000 followers" suggests you are using Twitter as a platform for broadcasting your messages to the world, when you should be using it as a way to connect and engage with others.
Now a day Image tweeting trending as you have no bound regarding 140 character limit. So post text and image tweet regularly to get high traffic from the twitter. Try to follow your business/Product related user and make tweet as per their requirement, but these requirement should be in your product/business.
