    Hi Everyone,

I have been a reader for a few months, trying to get a understanding of how Ad words work. Finally I said let me give it a try this morning at 4AM, I set up my ad words account (couldn't sleep thinking about all you making money $$ :D ). So I took the plunge. I setup a mere $30 account, with some keywords (approx. 25). I looked at my adwords account, and since this morning at 4am, I have recieved about 215+ IMPR hits, but my clicks is only showing up as 1. most of my keywords are only about $0.05 cents, so right now I only earned 0.05 cents. My daily budget is $1 buck a day (not much i know).

Can you anyone explain to me what this newbie is doing wrong :( Appreciate it. Keep up the great work, this is a fantastic forum!!

What you have to remember is that it takes time plus moola for a site start raking in the change. Lots of factors come into play. The best I can offer to you is to do more reading in the SEO side of things and then when you the capital start ramping up the adwords account. Exposure, Exposure, Exposure..

Thanks for the information. Based on the numbers you see, is that a good start? Am I on the right track with the words I have used thus far?

What is a good SEO? Any suggestions?

You haven't posted your URL or said which words you are targeting.

http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion is a good place to start to find out which keywords to use (both AdWords and SEO).

For SEO be careful to stay realistic, there's little point ranking on the 10th page for the most competitive term when you can rank on the first page for a slightly less popular term.
