    My first post! :)

I've heard a lot about adsense and I would like to get into it. I've read Google's Adsense Help pages.

Can anyone advise me on the best way to start with Adsense?

    Thanks

Hey start few blogs which is of interest to you. You should be able to plug in adsense in those blogs. Make those blogs interesting and keep updating it atlease 3-5 times a week.

If you have a few blogs, you should start seeing adsense making sence within 1-2months.

Thanks for the replies kandeman and mdev05.

I've got a question: those links at the bottom of your post; Are they your own blogs/sites? Or are they someone else's that you're promoting?

    Thanks

    Welcome to DP!

I would recommend starting small. You don't want to jump in and throw ads everywhere when your users/visitors may not be used to it, and may get discouraged by it. Start with one ad per page maximum. Find a good spot that keeps your content still the primary focus, but still shows the ad in a fashion that is it noticed. Many choose to integrate box ads in their paragraphs of text, wrapping their page content around the box ads. This seems highly effective. But not all placements work the same on different sites. Another highly effective technique is to use a color scheme that helps the ad blend into your content, navigation and other site links. This is one of those techniques that works great for pages that are not too busy, since the ads will look like actual functionality. But when you have too much going on with a page (ie - tones of images, links, etc), then you may have to either make the ads stand out a little more, or give them some white space/room around them. Experiment with a few different placements, and few different color schemes. Give each one at least a few days to see how it performs before trying another.

Once you find a good ad placement that works well, you can then shift your focus back to what really matters... content and traffic...;-)

    Good luck!

@ sadsense , these are projects of my own , but i just started all of them like a week ago and i'm trying to improve them all the time, that's also why i'm promoting them.
My real website is kande.be, and i've had that for about 2 years now, but I also just started out with adsense (pretty late though :( )

Write about something you have a genuine passion for (assuming there are a fair amount of others who share that same interest ;) ) - but also try to look at your site from an advertisers standpoint. There are various tools to show you exactly what people are searching for, how many people are searching for it, and what advertisers are paying for to place ads on that topic.

If you have a passion for photography, a site that does digital camera reviews will have advertisers that are willing to pay more than a site that talks about how to operate your camera. While both sites talk about photography, people visiting a camera review site are going to provide more targeted traffic from people looking to buy a camera, than a help site that talks about how to use something the consumer has already purchased.

I guess there is no way out then. Write stuffs which you are passionate about. If you are really bad at writing, get a freelancer writer to do the job for you. there are quite a few freelancing websites around. you would be able to get quite a lot of write up at really low price

Here is what I'd do, first of all, start a website, if you haven't got one, start one. You must be able to write around 1 article a day with atleast 50 to begin with. Once you get traffic start experimenting with placemnents, many people find the relevant images above ads work. It takes alot of work.

Do not buy adsense ebooks, what works for them might not work for you.
    Also look at my sig.

I am not sure if you can design the ads. Google TOS prohibits that. right?
