    Hi there,

My site trapped in supplemental results and only few pages are in the main index.

    Reason.

20% pages with some duplicate content

80% pages original content 700+ words on each page with unique title, unique description etc.

I put 5-6 more pages to my site that were 100% unique but after 4-5 days they also put in the supplemental index (Copyscape.com passes those new pages).

    Now My Question is:

Why new unique pages are being thrown in the supplemental results, what is specific reason behind it and how to recover from the supplemental index for the unique pages.

I will be really thankful for any help in this regard.

If i were you i would continuously try to increase the link popularity. Due to strong inlinks the pr will increase and those pages won't be marked as supplemental any more;)

The site could be supplemental if
    * to much similar text on each page or duplicate content
    *redirect links
Supplemental results usually only show up in the search index after the normal results. They are a way for Google to extend their search database while also preventing questionable pages from getting massive exposure.

Negative side effects of supplemental:Supplemental results are not trusted much and rarely rank they are not crawled often either.

You may just want to give it a wait, but also check to make sure you are not making errors like www vs non www, content manangement errors delivering the same content at multiple URLs (doing things like rotating product URLs), or too much duplicate content for other reasons (you may also want to check that nobody outside your domain is showing up in Google when you search for site:mysite.com and you can also look for duplicate content with Copyscape).

I believe it is when a search engine say for e.g" 101 similar results have been omitted" for example

Maybe your unique pages have no links....Does your unique pages have links already? Get many backlinks on your unique pages... That's one reason why it is thrown on supplemental pages....:D

Well you could also to change the content on the pages that do not have original content or remove them and have a redirect. I think that you could then get most of your site our of the supplemental trap.
