Effective if you want to boost your ranking for phrases without too much competition. If you're targetting high competition phrases then you'll need to do some other marketing in addition to this.
I signed up to 3waylinks as a beta tester and have moved up in ranks for some of my long tail keywords. Hopefully I can continue to see an improvement like I have as I continue membership with the site. The best part is that the links are added at a steady pace instead of all at once so as not to set off any alarms from the engines. While it's not a guarantee that this will work in the long term, I'm enjoying the progress I've made so far.
