Depends on conditions and market rate,If you are taking a project individually you should keep in mind competition on those keywords for which you are going to optimize the web and current status and position of the web site on SERP.

alot of seo metrics needs to be measured. Some on this forum will quote price even without looking at something like competiton in google, quality of site to compete against, and niche.

It depends on the difficulty/competition for that particular keyword, and how tough the competitors are. You should not charge the same thing to beat a lot of PR0/PR1 sites and to beat a PR4/PR5 or perhaps even higher!

As a rule of thumb: Calculate how much time (in hours) it will cost you to achieve the goal, and multiply that by what you consider a reasonable hourly rate. That is your baseline. Depending on the client, the money that this keyword will bring in, etc, you can then add a bonus (say, 50%).

Excuse me? "Without optimization"? SEO stands for "Search Engine OPTIMIZATION"!

It doesn't usually work like that. Not sure how your SEO team was doing it, but around here people charge a flat fee per month. They build up a presence for the business/site and promote it in relevant and strategic spots across the web. If you aren't doing that are building profile links only (or something like that) then you should tell them that you are taking shortcuts so you are only charging by total # of links. Would need to hear more about your strategy before helping any further with determining a price for your quote.

How do you plan to get to #2 without optimization?

    Hi Shalini,

If you are taking project, first you have to start with minimum amount. And as you will gain experience and confident in doing more SEO projects you can increase your ratings according your service.

    Thanks.
