Except you have to be able to write well (usually in English) to be hired. And I don't think the thread starter fits into that criteria.
Create a blog, publish adsense, at least send 200-300 traffic. Most of times you'll find the success. (The amount of traffic you need to earn $10.00 day,may vary upon lots of factors)
Great starting point would be article marketing, not only it can make you money instantly (offering article writing services) or through affiliate programs (writing articles and submitting to article directories) but it's great skill to have in the long run.

Start with your dreams, and not with money goal setting. If the money is your only motive, you won't get too far. The first obstacle would demoralize you, and you will leave Internet busines dissapointed, with a strong attitude that it is impossible to earn money on the web. What do you like in your life? What do you know to do? Is it of interest to other people? If, yes, then start to collect materials about it. How many people would like to read your story and use your services? How strong the competition is? Do you know anything about gardening for example, or fishing, or fixing a car? Collect information about it, arrange it, sort it, make tutorials. You must be good at something. Even if you lived under the rock, you could still be able to write about how it is to live under the rock (and it could still get some people interested in that theme). I've seen a website dedicated to skunk stink removal, for example. The guy dedicated his time to present to the manhood various tips and tricks how to get rid of odour after having a close contact with that animal, and as I see, he's doing pretty well. Don't think of an Internet as a fast-earning scheme, because most of web-gurus want you to think that way. After that, they will try to sell you an e-book for 19.99$. Learn. Learn something about web design, about hosting, basics of web administration, payment processing... Then learn about marketing. Make free samples of your work and knowledge, and share it around. Get some reputation. And, money will come.
Hey don't worry! You shouldn't go for 10 dollars a day, make the dream bigger and look for affiliate marketing in big products!

I think this statement is incorrect. How is this any different from person X choosing between working a $10/hr job or writing and selling an article for $10. case 1: Mr. X decides that he needs to make money, so he goes and decides to work as a cashier at his local grocery store. He works for 1 hour and makes $10. case 2: Mr. X writes an article, as you described and sells it after an hour for $10. In both cases Mr. X earns $10. This $10 is pure profit. Your logic assumes he is making money in the first place. If he spends that 1 hr a day trying to make $10 online instead of sitting on his couch watching the newest episode of The Office, he IS making profit because normally he would be earning $0/hr while watching the office.
I'm curious as to why you say this... Can you share with me your logic? I know there are definitely "free" ways out there to earn money, but I think what the person you are responding to is trying to say that if you have money, it is easier to make money.
Excellent post. Many are successful because they didn't start off to make money. They went off to build a community and followers, etc. By the time they are done with it, money will follow them.
When people, including myself, say that you need money to make money, we are talking about more than enough to buy a Happy Meal, and on a consistent basis. But he can correct me if "phillip" meant something else.
I made $50,000 last year without "spending a penny" on advertising. $35,000 the year before that. Actually, I spent a few dollars on domains and hosting, does that count?
Don't worry - I ain't trying to sell eBooks or get people to sign up under me in an affiliate program. But that's okay - I don't believe anyone on this forum either.
