    try http://www.zopa.com/ZopaWeb - it's a UK lkending exchange like ebay where you ask for a rate on a loan and the site matches you to other people willing to lend at that rate. Need good credit history. Saw it on bbc news over weekend. Some great rates offered apparently nearly 2 % better than banks.

    Do you want a personal loan, person to person ? There are places to get money if you are desperate, but the interest can be 50% a year.
