An effective pay per click management can be used to increase traffic, reduce cost per click and boost profit.

Broad match is where the kw u're targeting appear anywhere within the text of search query, phrase match is where the kw appear in the specific order u determine but it may still be part of a search query that includes other words, Exact match is where the precise kw u specify appear in the search query

    What is Effective PPC Campaign?

There are several things an advertiser should pay attention to when choosing to run a ppc campaign:

    1. Prepare your website/landing page

Unless your site is ready to convert the visitors, all the organic and/or paid traffic you will send to your site will not produce any income to you!

    • Pictures of professionally-looking people with cash in their hands! Nothing speaks more clearly than a pack of dollars!
    • Pass on the clear message. It is important to present the visitors with the information they are searching for the moment they enter you site. The text has to be easy-to-comprehend and all the unnecessary writing should be avoided.

    2. Prepare keyword phrases

PPC is all about the right keywords, at the right time and location! The keyword list should be changed and updated according to the results of small test ppc campaigns.

    3. Don't use Broad Match

Google AdWords, for example, allows you to use an option of "broad match", which uses all possible variations of your keywords.

    4. Testing never ends

PPC campaigns need constant monitoring, improvement and analyzing, since in most cases, small changes here and there can make huge differences. For example, if a title " Forex Brokers" doesn't get attention, maybe it is time to use something like "BEST Forex Brokers 2010" instead.

Good tips, number 4 is one people tend to forget you need to keep working on it, you can not set it up a site back.

Pay-per-click (PPC) is an advertising model unique to the internet, that's been around since about 2002.
A pay-per-click ad is a small, four line ad consisting of a headline, two short lines of text and URL. It doesn't contain graphics, color variations, music, or video – and you can't pay extra to get more space. Although they sound and look rather basic, pay-per-click ads are one of the most powerful ways of advertising today because they are so targeted.
Rather than just displaying to whoever happens to be in the vicinity, as with TV or billboard advertising, pay-per-click ads only display to people who have shown an active interest in the topic by either searching for information, or by going one step further and visiting a website. What that means is that the conversion rate of pay-per-click ads is much higher than other advertising models.
Another enormous benefit is that you only pay for the times when the ad gets clicked on.

    Actually, yes.

That's the biggest problem people have - accepting the idea is that what they are selling is not necessarily what people are interested in buying.

Now, you may still have a great product.

The trick here is to present the product in a way that it's attractive from the customers point of view

It takes a bit of time time to truly understand this but once you do things become much easier.

I said this in an another post - people worry about how to write more effective ads. The truth is when you have created a great product (again, from the customers point of view) a lot of what you do will become instinctual.

Simply describing your product will make a great ad. For example, (off the top of my head) if on this site, I put an ad like : "Double your sales in a week with step by step Super PPC formula", I know to certain people that will sound like a great product.

There is another group of people that will not be attracted to that ad, in fact I they will be pushed away by it. As an advertiser, I don't take that personal.

Instead, I hit them with: "How to double your sales in a week, without increasing your CTR." .To this other set of guys this ad will sound more credible and they will at least be curious about it. To the first group, the second ad may be completely irrelevant.

Where is LucidWebMarketing, I know he knows what I'm talking about ;)
