    I have been waiting 8 months and i doubt i will ever get my website in DMOZ which i now know google is using for directory purposes. =/

    The problem is that DMOZ probably takes a while to approve submissions and then doesn't approve all...

    I had trouble submitting my site too. But when I looked at the listing for my genre, all the sites were much more established then even mine, so I figured mine was just not up to their standards. ;)

    Not in my genre all they really have over me is a dmoz and yahoo listing and more backlinks

    More established has nothing toi do with us using a suggested site, unless it is a forum with few posts or similar.

    Chances are that your suggestion is in the pool and when an editor works that area and uses the suggestions as a source it will be reviewed. It may then not be used, but the criteria will not be how long it has been in existence.

    Ive followed all the guidlines and still not in after over a year, seems like a waste of time to me, Ive got a relevant site a few years old with all their guidlines followed
