    As in the title really, I need to quote for an online shop system and here are the (somewhat general) requirements:

    * User to be able to specify depth and width of product and price to be calculated by the site depending on what is entered into these fields.
    * Payment can be made on a trade basis (30 days) or a buy it now system.
    * A user register/logon system.
    * Requirement of being able to set varying amounts of discounts to specific users.
    * Payment on account, credit card or PayPal.
    * Integrate the sales data to the client's Sage accounting system if possible so that when a sale is made the client's accounting system is automatically updated.
    * Order confirmation to customer, confirmation to client, delivery note to relevant party, VAT note produced.
    * Add/remove products from admin area.

    I've been looking at Actinic and osCommerce as potentials if I have to use an off the shelf system due to the client's budget. I don't think either of them would have the ability to enable user specific discounts although would be good to get the thoughts of anyone that has used any off the shelf systems that do this.

    Cheers.

    I'd say Plimus.com is your best bet. They are the BEST - screw PayPal. You can still receive PayPal but MUCH MORE SECURELY through Plimus. It's saved my business honestly.

    Give Fortune3 a looksie. It seems like you may need some customization regardless BUT that just may do. Otherwise, you can get someone to program your exact needs but that can take a bit to find.

    I believe Virtuemart with a bit of customization will do it nicely.
