I wouldn't hold your breath if you're trying to use Facebook or Twitter to earn money. Making money online is NEVER instantaneous. If it were everyone on the web would be millionaires. If you want to make money online, I suggest you plan on investing a LOT of time, especially the first 6 months or so until you find something that works.
agree with this opinion, make money online need to spend many times, and we must have motivation, keep learning (like this, join in forum)
When I became involved in social marketing, I didn't know anything about that. Almost 8 month I've been learning and reading thousands of articles and tips, watched tons of videos, and now I feel the progress. The only think you'll learn after moths of reading and learning that you know nothing about how to do effective social marketing There is no exact examples, patience, time and experiments will make you great in that.
In facebook try creating a fanpage to drive traffic to your website or offer. Use twitter to promote a simple CPA offer (email or zip) or to build an email list.
Yes I do agree with kcom. You should use facebook and/or twitter to build your brand awareness and increase traffic to your site. That is where you will start to make some progress.
You can also use traffic from social media sites to boost views to content you may have published on writing sites, thereby earning you money via more people being exposed to the articles that in turn link to your money sites.
Generally you can promote products with facebook or twitter. There are various ways to do so with facebook and one major way with twitter is simply sharing links to your followers or to people in related posts but be careful not to spam or use any unethical methods. Generally I prefer facebook fans becuase they tend to carry more value than a twitter follower base. Many people sell thousands of twitter follower accounts for several dollars where as fan page generally carry more value depending on various points
