Yes, i had a blank page go PR5. Pagerank is determined by backlinks, not by what's written on your page. But.. If you have good content on your page, people link to it which increases Pagerank so that's the only connection.
Yes it is possible to get page rank if you collect some back links for the empty site. But no traffic you will received in the empty page
why would you want a blank page with a high PR? It better to have advertising etc and good content so that you can make money

I'm only guessing but with a high PR with or without content would it not bring up the value of a domain name. This might be good if you wanted to sell it.
Because any experienced webmaster who has multiple websites in the queue hav e them ready to go for when they have time, but just haven't gotten around to content yet. Its more important you get aged backlinks ASAP, as content can come later but the sooner the backlinks the better.
yes, that is possible. even i have got pr2 for one of my page. and the strange thing was that i have never promoted. But it got pr because it was having a link from home page. Obviously pr means nothing but yes, it can be beneficial when you want to exchange links. reciprocal or 3 way.
PR is just important when it is connected to selling of.. but other that that.. i can't see any relevance of this... they are just numbers..
Yeah surely even a blank website can have PR. Link popularity has a big role in a website Page rank. If a website with no content has lots of quality incoming links, then that website can have some real PR
