Ecently, I learned that Jet Airways ( India) is busy crafting a unique strategy for its proposed budget carrier, JetLite, that is expected to be launched in a couple of months.

Jetlite will spread its wings to the Gulf countries, South east Asia and neighbouring countries, south east Asia and neighbouring countries, flying only short have long distance flights and not long haul sectors.

JetLite wil not conform to the conventional operating strategies of low – cost, no frill carriers like Air Deccan, Spice Jet and GoAir, as it will be positioned as a value based airline. Also, JetLite will serve complimentary food and beverage onboard. There will be no tickets up for grabs at throwaway prices. Such strategies are causing the aviation industry to bleed.

Do you agree to this above mentioned statement?
