can altavista beat google ever?

but, what I am saying is that altavista's one is better than google. i wasn't comparing it against a human. Google translate gets really simple words wrong.

 

Thanks to Yahoo NO.. I remember the day Alltheweb was better than Google before it was acquired by Yahoo.. Yahoo killed them all..

 

I used to use altavista all the time, when it was altavista.digital.com

now that subdomain is gone of course, and altavista went downhill badly in the last 5 years

I remember when Google came, I thought geez what a boring search engine. Plain white page and nothing else...sheesh how can that ever find anything for me.

Answer is definitely NO - Google is by far the best search engine. It provides good and quality listings in the search results

how about if all DP members stop using google and use Altavista and advertise only altavista on all of their sites , bogs etc sigs ^^ ?

 

even tho altavista is now own by yahoo... ithink google and yahoo is two of the most used homepage/search engine.. that is just my opinion..
