Can adwords really be this simple?

I don't know anything about adwords so I'm just asking.

Lets say you make a website and put some adsense ads on it. The ads will pay you more than $1 per click.

You create an adwords account and you pay 1c per click. That means $1 for 100 visitors.

Lets say you have good ctr and 10/100 will click on your ads.

Therefore you paid $1 for adwords and earned $10 form adsense.

Can it really be this simple?
Or will adsense ban you if you do something like this?

I can't really understand why they won't allow it. What's so wrong in advertising on adwords and monetizing with adsense.

I mean you're not doing google any harm by doing it. Your paying to have your site advertised. And the other sites are paying to have their ads shown on yours....

It's kind of an endless cycle and everyone will benefit from it... so whats the deal..

Can someone explain it to me more in detail?

    Thanks in advance

It's the proliferation of Made For Adsense sites that they're reacting against - spammy sites consisting of copied or scraped content that only exist to carry ads. It is a situation largely of their own making, and they deal with it in their customary clumsy way (see also their introduction of nofollow tags to deal with the PageRank situation that they made)

they're also trying to protect their "reputation" in the eyes of their advertisers. if advertisers start worrying that their content ads (via adsense) were being artificially driven via traditional google searches leading to adsense only sites, then they would be less enthused about opting-in to the content network...

You have the basic premise but the ratios of your numbers are not accurate but it really is that simple if you set your site up properly.

You can't "just put adsense ads on it", you have to build the site with content and put adsense on it. Your typical MFA sites are usually banned from adsense as are their owners.

Google is like big brothers (as many say) - you can't hide anything from him - and in this case it's not even worth trying...

I wouldn't want to try it on for size, Google has copped it when it comes to advertisers being cautious because of this exact reason.

It is more likely that a niche where you are getting $1.00 / click as a publisher will cost you >$.50 per click as an advertiser, even for cheap clicks. So you will need to convert 50% just to break even.

From Google's point of view this is just "churn" and bad business as it only frustrates their users.

$1 per click means a good niche and to drive visitors to a good niche you cant get them for 1c/visitor theres a huge competition out there !
