    It will Help.
    My NEW site was only getting 99% of sales from adwords.
    My site was Banned the first years from SERP.

    After Spending half a million dollar on adwords many many websites and forums are linking to me and now I have good SERP to :)

    No, it won't effect your SERP in any way as Google Adwords ad is not permanent, so it won't be counted as a backlink.
