If your site does not make a case on illegal distribution of copyrighted music, then it should be OK.
But look at this site Pcrockers (dot) com Is this site site does not distributing the copyright material?
If it is an official website that is distributing songs, then it's OK. But if you see adsense on the websites which are distributing a copyrighted material then it may be the case that Adsense account has already been established for years on any other VALID (that strictly followed adsense policies) website. So, Google doesn't come back again to check where are the codes has been pasted from the same account (As seen on many websites) For instance - If you're having a good website that follows every rule of Google policy, then it would be fine to add adsense without any violation. Sooner or later if you get any other website (after 1 or 2 years), that violates adsense policy then you can still paste the codes from the same adsense account. But if you're at the start, then it's a big hitch for you to add adsense for copyrighted materials. NOTE : It will be a good practice only, if you're just sharing the links of songs and videos and NOT uploading them on your website - Then it's totally safe!! - So, it won't become a violation rather! DO NOT upload, just share them. (Don't try for the first website) In my opinion, set up a good traffic first and add some other advertisement campaigns that won't give you trouble. There are some good advertisement programs like - Infolinks. And one more is Edomz that provides good revenue for US traffic.
This is correct and Lanka it's a good point you've made. To expand on this many sites run adsense, it does NOT mean to say that the owner applied for adsense with them. A site running adsense, and being approved for adsense are two very different things. Time and again people post on here saying "But this sites been approved and mine hasn't" - the reality of it is just because it's running adsense doesn't mean it complies with adsense policy at all. As many people who get banned find out. Google is cracking down on the use of youtube videos. If you don't own the content then they won't let you profit from it e.g sites using youtube videos only are out of favour and against the TOS (Cue people saying ooh! you're wrong this sites running videos and adsense - Those people will have missed the above point I've made, it's one thing for a site to have adsense on it, and another to be approved). Hope this helps. Also on the site you mentioned Pcrockers (dot) com they have no adsense compliant privacy policy which can be an instant ban. And you've helpfully given a link to the site, and I can't imagine that Google adsense doesn't have someone monitoring this forum. So they probably won't be running it much longer....
