Hey guys, I am very new to the Wordpress world, and recently had someone create me a Wordpress website for forum and blog posting. Is it possible to put Adsense ads on the site? The guy who made it said it wasn't possible.
If your blog is on Wordpress.com, then you can't add Adsense into it. But using Adsense in self hosted Wordpress is possible. - Dynashox -
I use 000space.com to host it. I know it sucks, but I can't afford paying for hosting right now, so it'll do in the meantime. =)
Yeah if your hosting it yourself ( which you are ) then you can 100% put adsense in it. If your using a theme you can go to appearance --> Edit theme then go to the html of the page you want the adsense on and add your code in there. Thats if you want your adsense in the content or non widget area. If you want it in the widget area, you can paste your adsense code into the widget "text" box and your ad will be good to go.
It doesn't matter whether you're using free or paid hosting. As long you install the Wordpress script on your own, then you can use Adsense on your blog. - Dynashox -

You can use adsense ads in your self hosted blog that is wordpress.org But You can't place adsense or any other advertisements in free wordpress blogs, that is wordpress.com
Yes, a blog of wordpress under your own host setup, you can place Adsense Ads. But free Wordpress blog cant
Yes you can...infact there are some good plugins available for adsense....i personally prefer Adsense Now plugin....and again the site needs to be hosted on your server and not wordpress.
if you this guy create the wordpress on wordpress.com , then you can not put adsense . if he create wordpress on any other place in the world except wordpress.com , then you can put adsense ads very easily .
