Hello guys, I would like to know if Adbrite can be use in the same page as adsense? I'm confused because some people say yes and other say no. Toby
Well from what I know about adbrite I would guess yes. But don't take my word for it. Google doesn't want competing types of advertising shown on the same page as Adsense. But adbrite isn't contextual right? It's just a paid placement chosen because the advertiser thinks your site would bring them good visitors.
Just like you couldn't find a conclusive answer earlier, this isn't very helpful either. Is it YES on contextual AdBrite + contextual AdSense on one page or YES on Google AdSense referrals _ contextual AdBrite on one page?
haha, ya, Tops30, can both be displayed on the same page. THis is what i get from google team. (Hope it's not against TOS to display it here) Cheers
Well I don't know adbrite very well (I admit I have considered using the service before) But correct me if wrong, I thought adbrite was placed ads and aren't necessarily based on the context of the website. i.e. they don't scan your web page for keywords to display ads... an advertiser chooses your website based on their own criteria and posts a static advertisement. If that is correct then I'd say this doesn't compete with Google's Adsense and is allowed by their TOS.
You can use Adbrite to sell advertising space so using adbrite is fine, however you must OPT-OUT of the adbrite network ads as they are deemed contexual. From Adsense;
Sj, I already get go ahead from adsense team. Sholva is right. their network ads are not based on scanning your site. So ya!
AdBrite network ads and direct ads should be allowed. AdBrite's network ads are not contextual for scanning your page, but instead from reading your tags from your site when you set up. Therefore no part of adbrite is truely "contextual"
No offense, it is not whether you consider the network ads contextual, its whether the adsense team consider that way, and after I asked them they said that they did. I know what you are saying but for me adsense comes first just now so if they so no, then its a no.
