I just want to ask that I don't have a registered domain name till now and using free hosting and sub-domain. I have read from some where that sub-domains can't get PageRank. Is it correct? Should I have a registered domain name to gain PR?
Of course you will get a PR. It' doesn't matter you're on a subdomain. However keep in mind free hosting always suck. If you're serious in what you're doing online, get a real host + your own domain and develop a powerful site.
subdomains are completely new domains. they can have page rank or have good serp results. just apply seo and build backlinks as much as you can do
Just look at the PR of Digital Points Forums, after all its a subdomain as well! Edit: Pratik and I think a like, just that he hits the submit button a millisecond faster than me
As ablaye has said, PR is based on individual pages rather than domains or sub-domains. The more links you have to a page, the better -- especially if they're relevant.
