Can a sitemap change how often your website is being cached?

I was wondering if i put daily for the change frequency of every page on website will it increase the times that Google comes by to crawl the website.

Is this a good thing if it does?

Any thoughts?

 

I think it depend on page rank and number of backlinks u r having ..Else if you are a blogger ,submit your posts to Digg or social site for faster indexing ..

 

You can increase the frequency of the google bot visit to your site by altering the option in the google webmaster tools but it is better to leave it at the default level unless and until you change the contents of the site very frequently in a day.

 

I would use settings that are realistic. What is the point of having it set to daily, if your content never changes?

 

that is a definitely a good point. Google will probably see that the site's content isn't changing and not come back as much as the site map says anyways.

 

I have a website that Google bot last acces at 1970 when i check at some web statistic, what going on ? Sandbox or just common error ?
