I think traffic means way more then Page Rank! even when I buy a website or exchange links with another site.
Yes.. Possible.. Example is www.contentaxis.com I never worked on this site and forgot it after giving it a creepy design but unique and original content. NO SEO, and nothing ever.. Not even submission to search engines or Google. After some 2 months or so, it had PR 1 and it still has.. I never even tweaked it after creating once, let alone working or using it.
Your site has links according to Google, couple of examples: http://www.indianjobtalks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5267 http://pixelmo.com/profile/index.asp?stats=commented&member=highfly123 Here's a guy on DP linking to it saying it's his site and he's banned: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=9880005
Nice find. But no idea how those links were created. May be much later because the PR was attained after 2 months when the site was nowhere in sight. That time when I checked, it had NO links. It's more than one year old now so may be some references as links. It was a PR without any backlinks .
Believe it or not it IS possible. I got a PR1 for one website without any backlinks. I still don't get it how that happened but it did. Sometimes Google can give us a pleasant surprise
I too believed that a site can never have pagerank without backlinks until seein this one y - o - f. com
Yes it is possible. PR basically means how SEOed optimize your pages are. Backlinks are only one factor.
Impossible. PR does not have anything to do with SEO. PR has to do with the quality of your backlinks. You can have a perfectly SEOd site onpage... but if no one points to you.... ZERO
google considers content and back links, i don't see why they wouldn't rank a site on purely it's content quality.
definitely possible I have seen many sites. I can not name them because that might reveal my niche, but then it is possible. It can happen of two thinks. 1.Content Quality 2.Age of the domain 3.Many copycats of this site- yeah if other sites copy its contents after google has indexed this site then google will place higher (I think).
It is possible to get a PR1 providing Google sees added value to your visitor, on-page SEO factors, but it would have to be fairly optimised to rank for search terms even if it reached a higher PR. It's possible to get a PR3 from a single quality back link, this has been the case with 2 related sites linked from my primary domain. But they do not receive the traffic expected with a PR3. Basically PR is just one factor in ranking, we don't aim to get PR, but traffic. I've worked on sites that out perform PR7's with just a PR2 5 to 1.....see my point?
I have one pr0 web, google didn't say it was backlinked, but I do back link with my other websites. So no backlink, no pr!
No its not possible. May be having the few backlinks from PR 9 or 10 site. Without it you can n't get the PR.
