    can a site in a freehosting achieve high google page rank?
    lets say i have a blog hosted by 110mb, will it have high PR, is it possible?

    Yes, it is possible. The PR is depends on the backlink or say PR juice
    It doesnt matter if the site is freehosting or paid hosting

    I think it's harder to get hight PR and harder to monetize it on freehosting.

    PR has no relevancy in hosting and on server ...... its depends upon quality on backlinks ..

    Some free hosted sites and blogs are ranking well both in PR and SERP, mostly those who have very useful business and services..

    yes its possible but think that many people are opening illegal sites with some free hosting service, so stay away from these hosting service. only select reputed service so that google wont decrease your pr

    Yes it is possible. Since the free hosting based packages are like subdomains and you can easily point links at them, so their PR could be independent of the main domain names operating.

    Yes its possible. page rank is depend on backlinks. So you definitely need to build strong backlinks. It does not matter if the site is free or paid hosting.

    Only one factor that free web hosting could effect your website for both PR and ranking is reliability. Most of free hosts come with limited on disk space, bandwidth, database and even a stability. They just host as many websites as they wanted on just one shared server, which will cause dropped in uptime as well.
