Can a program with pop up live help ignore your cookie?

    Hi,

Is there anything to research with regards to pop up live chat windows and losing a sale? Basically they are handling the customer however they please. How do you make sure that you get credit for sending a visitor to the site? Am I worrying about nothing here, or is this a problem? Any thoughts would be much appreciated, thanks.

From what I have found doing some research, most of them time you are hoping that the customer will make the purchase immediately to credit your account. If they don't, then the chances of another affiliate overwriting your cookie or spyware removing it, etc, are much higher. Some people have provided data for some of their programs stating that >90% of their customers purchase almost immediately. And I received a response informing me that there are live help type applications that may discount your cookie. Hope this helps some.
