5% CTR can be risky for you, but at the same time, it can be nothing to worry.. Why? or.. How? Simple, really! If your account has had a trend of 0.01% CTR and it suddenly shoots up to 5% it'll obviously raise a red flag, and thus risk your account standing (unless you have genuine clicks and stats to back it up) However, if your account has always maintained a CTR of .. say... between 2-4% and it goes up to 5 or even 7% then that's not something to worry about. In short, in addition to unauthorized activity logs, Google also checks on your trends for any suspicious or sudden activity levels. Granted in some cases it can be legit (you just launched a huge project) .. but they have all the stats to back their claims up. So if you're still getting 20 uniques to your 1-page HTML site like you did for the past year, yet your CTR shoots to 1,200%... there's obviously something fishy.. If you get what I just said above, that is
5% CTR, you must be having a deadly niche and your ads must be well blended.. don't worry its ok but not normal [ people hardly get more than2%]
I usually get around 8%. I know how to improve it by a few %, but I won't, because it will bother the visitor. As long as you keep your visitor in mind and keep it whitehat, you will be perfectly fine.
I'm generally between 5% and 10% CTR with mostly organic traffic and haven't had any problems as of yet.
I have reached ctr of 30-40% for some of my site and I don't have any issues with Google. If your traffic is legit, they will definitely know you are not doing anything funny by looking at the traffic stats at their side.
it's OK, don't worry. I have a site with 10%+ CTR for long time and never had any problems. If I can improve it, i will.
If you get more than 75% traffic from SE... Your CTR also high (above 15%) Google can not ban high CTR.
