can a girl become a good web designer?

This is some serious backward thinking i cant believe that in this day and age that these sorts of questions come up, shows how much of a bad balance there is in the world.

This is ridiculous.

Who has put this nonsense into peoples heads?

 

IMO, it doesn't matter if you're a girl, a guy, an alien or a hot dog. If you have talents, you can become a great designer. All it takes is a bit of creativity, lots of effort and willing to learn.

 

Girls can have better skills in designing and likewise for men. Sex or Gender is not a factor..

 

exactly. i dont think theres a need for gender bias.. anyone can Perfect the art of webdesigning provided he/she put in the right effort

 

in some parts gender might be a factor

boys/man are spending more time on the net and on a computer so for them it could be easier to handle it and most time it'S easier for them to learn languages as html/ css or php

but it's definetly possible for girls to become webdesigners you only need to learn how to use photoshop and get some coding knowlege in html/css and a bit php

 

That's an advantage but not an absolute must. I'd hope for creativity instead, learning photoshop is only a matter of short time. If a designer's blood isn't running through your veins, then you'd better be learning something else.

 

Boys always want to do something new with web designing and they always do experiments with their PC's and all other things but on the other side girls hesitate to do this.

What age frame are you looking at?

I've experimented with my PC for years, yet I am not a designer. So I guess your thinking might be wrong at a point.
Today I only touch the box when I need to do cleaning or hardware upgrades. Guess that's a sign that people do grow up

It takes time for someone to understand what he seriously wants to do and is good at.
PC experiments have more to do with curiousity and do not necessarily relate to being a creative person.

 

Maybe in your opinion, but I happen to know a lot of girls that spend quite a lot of time on the computer too. You can't just make sweeping generalizations like "men spend more time on the internet" without some sort of evidence/study.

 

Yeah! they can be good designers my thinking suggests they hold more art design, colors feature then males!

But i m anxious to see any female successful designer yet! in my career

 

creativity doesn't depend on gender that's a good thing!

 

Its about few girls which have great sense of designs, and only 50% grls does it professionally.
and rest just waste their time on make up design and lookin kool

 

i think its depend on someone talent and hard work hehehe, but yes girl have more sense of art hehehe

As someone said above, creativity doesn't depend on gender.

 

this is not a sex issue..everybody can be a good web designer.Some of them maybe became more advance than a man..
