Can a forum benefit from social bookmarking?

Can a forum benefit from social bookmarking? If so, how should I promote it? Any help is much appreciated.

 

I am not sure if it wont benefit or not [ as i never tried ] BUT it wont hurt.So, give it a shot and see the results !!

Yes, of course a forum can benefit from social bookmarking. You've just got to figure out how to get the most out of it.

 

Yes is your answer if it is done correctly. All related sites can benefit from this but make sure your friends on your bookmarking site such as myspace are targetted correctly, just making friends with anyone will not help your cause. Make sure you send out attractive bulletins also that will catch attention quickly.

Bookmarking of useful and most visited and answered thread could bring good traffic to your forum, people tend to save and share their favorites.

 

A forum can certainly benefit from social bookmarking, but only if there is something that visitors actually want to see (i.e. unique and quality content). I have been trying it with one of my sites and it has been working reasonably well (nothing amazing, but okay traffic).
