I was wondering if it was legal for two affiliates who are just starting with Clickbank to exchange affiliate links to meet the customer distribution requirement? For example, I buy a $9.99 product off of someone's affiliate link so that they get commission for it, and someone else, in turn, buys a $9.99 product using my affiliate link. I have $140 in Clickbank that I can't cash out because I haven't met this stupid little requirement. Will this violate their TOS? And if not, is anyone willing to do that for me?
No, it doesn't violate their TOS but you still have to meet their CDR Requirements and that is a minimum of five unique credit card sales with one being Visa and one being Mastercard. You have to remember WHY this CDR is in place. It is to prevent people from signing up, buying one product with their affiliate link, then receive a check - in essence getting that product for 30 to 75% off. It is meant for people serious about affiliate marketing. Myself, it took 14 sales to meet the CDR because no one was paying with their Mastercard. I had nine Visa's and four PayPal's but no MasterCard until my 14th sale. Once that happened, I got my check on the next payout. Check Out https://www.clickbank.com/accounting.html#A15 Once you've met the CDR, as long as you have at least one sale over $10 with no refunds that pay period, you'll get a check!
I'm aware of the CDR requirements, thanks for reminding me, however. I do need a Mastercard sale. I have 4 sales over the life of my account: one PayPal from 2006 (lost all that money in fees due to inactivity), and three recent sales with Visas. I never used my own affiliate links, but I do realize that people do that, and that Clickbank has no way to verify that I never gained commission off my own purchases. I have $140.65 right now, but I can't cash it out. Would anyone be willing to purchase anything cheap using my aff. link using Mastercard for however low the price is? This would help me meet the CDR. I will cover the price of the item 100% via PayPal, and you get to keep whatever you purchased.
Man, Why do they have this system in place? I bet they get to keep so much money of people who never meet the requirements.
If I were you I would read the TOS here to cover yourself. Clickbank doesn't need to mess around. Also though why go through the trouble in the first place? If you are wanting to build a business, build a business, don't cheat. http://www.clickbank.com/referral_program_faq.html
I need the cash by the end of the month, I'm short for bills. I'm not trying to cash out and leave, either, I'm going to do business with clickbank for a while - I'm in no way a pro affiliate but it would be nice to get my first CB paycheck within a couple weeks.
if you've sold 3 products in the last month, why not quickly write some articles or something and with a bit of luck you can generate a couple of more sales
you should deffinatly just try and make some more sales, write a few articles, make some squidoo lenses, post a few ads at us free ads, you should make some more sales in no time. Just get stuck in to it for a week, try maybe do 3-5 of each a day for your best product with keyword rich content and you should easy get the sales a week or two if not before
My sales are getting more consistent now I'm trying Facebook advertising, and I write at least a few articles a week, until I start getting the ball rolling. Quick update: I bought a pre-paid MasterCard with $25 loaded on it, and purchased something using my aff. link from a friend's house. The sale was counted to my account, and because I know I'm not going to chargeback on it, I should be expecting my paycheck this month Can't wait, it'll be my first paycheck ever, over $150 for sure.
I'm starting to, but I don't know when the next paycheck will be (I think it's very soon) so I wanted to make sure I'd be mailed a check. I need the cash now (bills) so it was necessary.
Simply Go to an ACE Cashing or other simple check cashing place, get a Master Card Debit card, gift card, or likewise put only $5 - $10 and use That!!! Great Idea???
